The Lake District will take place on 18th to the 22nd Aug 2008 and will be based at Grasmere at the Forest Side Hotel http://www.forestsidehotel.com/ . For anybody wanting to paint large open areas this has got to be for you. All the sites are picked so we are not climbing the mountains (that is for my benefit!!!) with a large range of topics. All abilities catered for and the hire of materials for the week is possible.

Tues 19th Aug Ashness Bridge A little bit of a drive but well worth it, a great little pack horse bridge overlooking Derwentwater and Keswick, a must for any artist.
Wed 20th Aug Langdale Pike We cannot go to the Lake District without visiting the Pikes and paint from Blair Tarn, prepare yourself for an exciting ride from the bottom of the valley to the top.
Thurs 21st Aug Hawkshead Nice little Lakeland village with lots of attractions. Beatrix Potter once lived here as well.
Fri 22nd Aug Kirkstone Pass Another short ride from the hotel so those leaving on the Fri are not doing more mileage than they have to, but you will not be disappointed and another great picture to be had.Based at The Brotherswater Inn and overlooking Brotherswater this is a great setting for aerial perspective and mood
